We had our wedding at Burtonfields last weekend, and I’m so glad we did! From the first day we visited, we realised that Burtonfields was our kind of venue, with its beautiful gardens, gorgeous bedrooms & bathrooms and sitting/dining rooms so elegant and comfy that people were loathe to leave them! Our family couldn’t believe how luxurious the place was. Burtonfields isn’t just elegant, though; it’s welcoming, and even though it’s full of beautiful antiques, fabrics and every conceivable luxury item, it still felt like our home for the weekend.

The Burtonfields team made our weekend, and nothing was too much trouble. They were so friendly and helpful. It was a joy to stay there, but Will especially made it easy and fun. He’s a superstar!

We cannot recommend this gem of a venue enough, and we’ll absolutely book it for our next big family celebration.

I could not recommend this venue and Will more. From start to finish, planning our wedding was an utter joy. Will ensured the day was planned perfectly and ran without a hitch. It was completely personal to us and different to any wedding we had been to, and our guests told us the same. The rooms are beautiful, and you genuinely feel at home at this incredible venue. It’s made even more perfect by the legend that Will and his team were also fab.

We initially viewed Burtonfields as a possible venue for our wedding in January 2023, greeted by Will with tea in front of one of many open fires in the house. For us, what could have been a difficult decision as to where to hold our wedding was made straightforward on visiting Burtonfields, where not only is the house breathtakingly beautiful but proprietor Will’s warmth and calm manner assured us we were to be in safe hands. We duly booked and, months later, enjoyed a perfect May wedding day at Burtonfields.

The house allows you to relax in opulent but not overbearing surroundings, the beautiful gardens mirroring the high level of personal care and detail that the Bush family have invested into the refurbishment of Burtonfields, where every room from the reception hall to the bedrooms has been thoughtfully restored. Through the staff at Burtonfields, the décor, its provisions, and its characterful setting, it instilled warmth and relaxation, where our day was made all the more special by how guests of all ages enjoyed the venue standalone to the wedding itself. Indeed, our photographs did not need staging, with the house and gardens providing the perfect backdrop to professional and guest photos, capturing friends and family happy and content.

We are fortunate to have chosen Burtonfields for our wedding. Will and his staff provided calm direction, guidance, and assurance in the months leading up to the wedding and through the day itself. We can only extend our sincere thanks and appreciation and would encourage others to visit Burtonfields. It is unique. We are now finding reasons to plan a return with friends and family to make use of the house again!

We just got married at Burtonfields Hall, and it was the best day of our lives! This venue is beyond perfect. We had it all to ourselves from Friday until Sunday, with our immediate families staying with us in the stunning bedrooms. The owners have lovingly refurbished everything to a 5-star standard. Our ceremony took place in the Billiard Room on the Saturday afternoon with 90 guests and led on to a drinks reception on the picturesque terrace with a pianist, exquisite dining, a magician, a ceilidh band and disco dancing into the night! We honestly could not have wished for a better day. We had looked at a few other venues, and they all felt a bit tired and ‘hotel-ly’, like wedding conveyor belts. Burtonfields became our home for the weekend, having free rein to spend quality time with our loved ones in a relaxed and beautiful setting.

Will, the owner, was utterly brilliant from the day we booked a year ago to the big day itself; he helped guide us on our wedding planning journey and seemed just as excited as we were about it! Some of our guests have commented that it was the best wedding they have ever attended, and we completely agree!

My husband and I married at Burtonfields Hall (BH) and had a fantastic day. After struggling to find a suitable venue, we came across BH and felt it was excellent value. It’s also incredibly welcoming, especially compared with other venues, many of which appear to be ‘wedding factories’. The owner, Will, was on hand from the start. Will’s communication was quick and thorough; no matter how large or small the query, he was quick to get back to us, even after the wedding. Will worked extremely hard to ensure the day went as planned – his attention to detail is impeccable. We felt relaxed knowing we were in safe and caring hands.

The venue itself is designed and decorated to a very high standard. The rooms are beautiful. Everything has been thought of – from a music system in all downstairs rooms to perfect lighting, fantastic kitchen space for caterers and guests, gorgeous toiletries, and beautiful planting – I can’t fault any of it.

We wanted a relaxed day, and I felt that way when I walked in on the morning of our wedding. Getting ready with my friends and family in the Bridal Suite was a memory I’ll never forget. Everyone floated around the house, using the facilities as our own. This relaxed, homely feel meant everyone was calm and just so happy.

We said ‘I do’ in the Billiard Room. Will gave us choices, made suggestions on how we might like it laid out, and steered us away from some bad decisions. His experience shone through. The room looked amazing and was an intimate place to share our ceremony with those close to us.

Initially, I was worried about choosing a caterer that the venue approved. However, this meant we ended up with someone extraordinary. Their relationship with Will and his team at BH was well-established and meant everything ran smoothly. Dom’s Kitchen prepared an entirely vegetarian/vegan buffet and street food for us. No one missed the meat, and we had many compliments on the spread.

The outside grounds made the perfect setting for photos, croquet, drinks and conversation throughout the day and night. The kids quickly made the grass lawn their place, playing happily whilst the adults chatted.

If you’re looking for a beautiful, homely, welcoming venue, I recommend Burtonfields Hall. Will will look after you from start to finish. We can’t thank him enough.

Absolutely stunning and fantastic venue to hold your special wedding day! From first visiting the venue in June 2022, it was a big yes to hold our wedding day there in October 2022! Yes, it may seem last minute to plan a wedding, but we did it and have to say we had the best day of our lives. We could not fault our weekend stay and wedding day at Burtonfields Hall.

The décor is top-notch and stunning, in keeping with the original period features throughout the house with a very arts and crafts design. Having the house over the weekend made a fantastic venue for our family and friends to visit us at the wedding location before and after the wedding day. We could utilise the house as our own for entertaining guests, which had a lovely, relaxed and friendly feel and allowed new family members to meet and socialise.

There is a large welcoming entrance hallway perfect for meeting and greeting guests, with a grand piano, which we used throughout the stay and a large open fire. There are two large sitting rooms, a dining room, and a large modern kitchen to use during the stay. Then there is the billiards room that made a fantastic hall for our wedding breakfast and the following evening’s entertainment on the day. Adjacent to this is an excellent bar and inside and outside bar area too; very popular with our guests, especially during the evening. All nine bedrooms for the lucky guests that stayed at Burtonfields Hall are also to a superior standard and ensuite, with all guests complimenting their stay, 5-star standard!

Will, the owner of Burtonfields Hall, is very accommodating and consistently works very hard to ensure that the venue meets expectations and that the day runs smoothly. We had four months to plan our big day, and he helped greatly as our wedding day planner and advisor for the weekend stay. We felt very welcome and accommodated in his large family-owned home and look forward to meeting him again in the near future.

Our wedding day was perfect at Burtonfields Hall, from the location to every little detail in the house. Will and the team were attentive throughout the day and ensured we got everything we needed. Will was extremely responsive to the numerous emails we sent throughout the planning phase and ensured that our tight schedule ran according to plan! Our family and friends loved being in the house; we’re still getting compliments about Burtonfields a month later! All nine bedrooms were beautifully decorated, and the surrounding grounds were scenic. We couldn’t recommend Burtonfields enough for weddings and parties; it was hard to say goodbye the morning after!

What an amazing venue! We were so privileged to get married at Burtonfields Hall this Summer. It was three of the best days of our life, not just for the obvious reasons. Will and his Team were incredible at making our day the best it could be and supporting us in the build-up to the big day. We used Burtonfields Hall privately over three days, and it was an amazing venue to host close family and friends. We were also lucky enough to be the first couple to be married outside, and it was a perfect way to utilise the stunning grounds. Burtonfields Hall has recently been renovated to an exceptionally high standard, and all the bedrooms are dressed beautifully, each with a unique and stunning en-suite. This venue is absolutely a must. You won’t be disappointed if you want the perfect wedding at the perfect venue with the perfect team!
